Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is an evidence-based therapeutic approach that examines the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

CBT helps individuals identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns that shape their emotional responses and behaviors.

When we interact with the world around us, our perceptions are influenced by our thoughts and feelings. However, these perceptions are not always accurate and can be distorted by negative thinking, leading us to view the world through a more negative lens than it truly is. This distortion can contribute to emotional distress and dysfunction. By identifying and challenging cognitive distortions, clients can develop more adaptive ways of thinking, fostering healthier interactions with and perspectives on the world

CBT is particularly effective for individuals with anxiety and depression, and is also commonly used to treat OCD, PTSD, eating disorders, substance use, and anger management.
